1 (ONE) Outokumpu Mintec/ Larox Ceramec pressure filter model number PC-45-15. The filter has a total filtering area of 45 square meters on fifteen ceramic discs. The filter was new in 1996 and is in excellent condition. The CERAMEC PC-filter is designed to dewater slurry. The end products are dry cake and virtually particle-free filtrate. Discs are immersed into a basin of slurry and these discs are specially designed so that capillary action removes the water that is in contact with the discs. Solids contained in the slurry build up on the surface of the discs and dewatering continues as long as free liquid is present.
